Batchelor Sharp welcomed the introduction of GDPR in May 2018. The information (data) collected by Batchelor Sharp is entered onto both our files and also our accounting package software which is operated by Advanced Legal Services utilising hosting facilities solely based in the UK. Batchelor Sharp has always taken all information security seriously including that of personal data regardless as to whether Batchelor Sharp is considered a processor or controller.
In terms of the GDPR Batchelor Sharp started the GDPR compliance process in 2017 in order to ensure that our clients could be certain that they were dealing with a fully compliant GDPR business prior to the introduction of the Regulation in 2018. Batchelor Sharp will be providing documentation to clients in their terms of business detailing how the data is collected stored and who will be privy to that information once it has been collected. We do not share or divulge any information to third parties for any gain financial or otherwise and under no circumstances will any information be disclosed to a third party unless it is relevant to the transaction being undertaken or permission has been sought and granted by our clients.
Assessment
Batchelor Sharp has assessed the outlines of the new GDPR regulations and matched its own activities and products against all of the relevant paragraphs in key areas.
1. A data controller of its own employee data.
2. A data controller or processor of third party data which is stored subject to regulations as defined by The SRA, HMRC or other governing bodies and will not be disclosed to another party for financial or other gain without the express consent of the subject of that data.
