Paul Taylor - Partner & Solicitor in Yate office
Paul read Law at Warwick University and qualified as a Solicitor in 1996 in the City of London. Since returning to his home town of Bristol, he has gained knowledge and experience at a number of practices. Paul specialises in Commercial and Residential Conveyancing, including leasehold properties.

Jackie Curtis – Senior Partner, Chartered Legal Executive and Licensed Conveyancer in Kingswood office
Jackie entered the legal field some 20 years ago as a legal receptionist. Within a short time she moved onto the accounts side passing the Legal Cashiers examination before moving on to Legal Services Accounts thereafter. Jackie then finally became a residential conveyancer whilst undertaking the ILEX Course part time both at night school and home whilst working full time. She qualified as a Legal Executive in June 2008 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Legal Executives in November 2008. Jackie specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing including leasehold, freehold, re-mortgages, transfer of equity and shared ownership.

Philippa Robinson – Partner, Solicitor, Practice Manager and Risk and Compliance Officer (based in Kingswood office)
Philippa qualified as a solicitor in 1994 with a large London law firm. She spent 17 years as a commercial property lawyer, and then moved into risk and compliance. She has lived in Bristol since 2001, working for two firms before she joined us in November 2022. She became a partner in November 2024 and is our practice manager and risk and compliance officer as well as using her extensive property knowledge when needed.

Rika McMonnies – Locum Solicitor
Rika has a wealth of experience in dealing with Probate, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs). Rika works remotely and is assisted by Rebecca Payne in the Yate office. Rika will be with us until we find a permanent replacement for Sharon Boothy who retired at the end of 2025.

Kieran Curtis – Trainee Licensed Conveyancer in the Kingswood office
Kieran joined Batchelor Sharp in 2018 as receptionist before deciding to train as a Licensed Conveyancer. He enjoys all aspects of residential conveyancing work and he is closely supervised by Jackie Curtis pending qualification.

Una Jenkins – Trainee Legal Executive in the Kingswood office
Una joined Batchelor Sharp in June 2025 after a number of years with a local firm pursuing her training at the same time as raising her children. She enjoys all aspects of residential conveyancing work and is closely supervised by Jackie Curtis pending final qualification.
