Paul Taylor - Partner & Solicitor in Yate office
Paul read Law at Warwick University and qualified as a Solicitor in 1996 in the City of London. Since returning to his home town of Bristol, he has gained knowledge and experience at a number of practices. Paul specialises in Commercial and Residential Conveyancing, including leasehold properties.

Jackie Curtis – Senior Partner, Chartered Legal Executive and Licensed Conveyancer in Kingswood office
Jackie entered the legal field some 20 years ago as a legal receptionist. Within a short time she moved onto the accounts side passing the Legal Cashiers examination before moving on to Legal Services Accounts thereafter. Jackie then finally became a residential conveyancer whilst undertaking the ILEX Course part time both at night school and home whilst working full time. She qualified as a Legal Executive in June 2008 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Legal Executives in November 2008. Jackie specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing including leasehold, freehold, re-mortgages, transfer of equity and shared ownership.

Claire O’Malley – Partner & Solicitor in Kingswood office
Claire was born in Harrogate and moved to Bristol in 1988 where she took her articles before qualifying in 1990. Since then her roots have remained firmly in Bristol working in the Conveyancing field for several local firms before joining us in April 2019.

Sharon Boothby - Probate Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney Executive in Yate office
Sharon joined our Private Client Department in February 2018 and specialises in dealing with a large caseload of Probate, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs). Sharon entered the legal profession in 1978 in Zimbabwe and she emigrated to England in 2000 where she has worked in Private Client since 2000.

Kieran Curtis – Trainee Licensed Conveyancer in the Kingswood office
Kieran joined Batchelor Sharp in 2018 as receptionist before deciding to train as a Licensed Conveyancer. He enjoys all aspects of residential conveyancing work and he is closely supervised by Jackie Curtis pending qualification.

Jagoda Stepniewska – Solicitor in the Kingswood office
Jagoda joined Batchelor Sharp in April 2024. Originally from Poland, Jagoda moved to the UK in 2008 and began her legal career in 2019 as a paralegal in a local Bristol firm. She qualified as a solicitor in 2023 and she specialises in sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, remortgages, transfers of equity, help to buy redemptions, right to buy purchases.
